PULSE - Study on petty corruption in the Lithuanian healthcare sector

The PULSE project analyses individual, organisational and national policy assumptions aimed at reducing petty corruption in the healthcare sector. The project will run for 36 months, from 2 September 2024 to 31 August 2027.

About the PULSE project

Although Lithuania is making gradual progress in reducing corruption, according to Transparency International data, the results of public opinion polls on this issue are still cause for concern. According to Eurobarometer data, over 80% of Lithuanians believe that corruption is widespread or very widespread in the country (European Commission, 2022). The healthcare sector is particularly affected.

The PULSE project is funded by the Research Council of Lithuania. Project agreement No. S-MIP-24-25.

Team

The PULSE project is being implemented by researchers from the Faculty of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities at Kaunas University of Technology.
